Artists Skola and Mudo (Brazil) present their exhibition entitled 'B-Side' at Backwoods Gallery, located in Melbourne, Australia. The Exhibition tells a little about the trajectory of the artists who have known each other for almost 15 years, living and working in Sao Paulo, and mixes elements from their shared experiences in graffiti, illustration and graphic design.
The exhibition features paintings on canvas, lenticular pieces, graffiti interventions and merchandising that includes posters, zines and T-shirts. Their iconic style is on full display through artworks of b-boy characters, 90's cartoons, throw-up graffiti, tattoo flash and toy sculptures.
Skola and Mudo search for different means of expressing their art in a unique, simple, and objective way. Their artwork reflects and delves deep into elements of their daily lives, blending images and concepts that reach out to the marginalised environments of the streets in a sarcastic and critical, yet clear manner.
