CONFUSING A MIRROR FOR A WINDOW

The focus of my artwork has always been on the shared ideas of universal connection, exploring and portraying both our failures and successes. This approach has led to a blend of planned concepts and subconscious responses in my paintings. For this show, I treated the artwork as a single cohesive idea—a tapestry of iconography that tells individual stories while combining to form a larger narrative. Originally painted as one expansive piece measuring three metres by two metres, the canvas was subsequently divided into nice individual pieces. This division serves to extend the concept that each story, canvas, and icon is part of a larger whole.
