Senectus Tempus: The Yasur Collection
ONLINE EXHIBITION
This body of work is based around a recent 2-month expedition to the active volcano of Mt Yasur in Vanuatu, in which I collected geological samples, 3D scans and readings whilst working closely with a team from Tokyo University's Volcanology Department. This new collection of paintings highlights the intriguing volcanic processes that sculpted our globe and incorporates many of the raw materials collected from the caldera; including copper overlays oxidised with raw sulphur from the volcano rim and volcanic glass infused pigments.
