Southbound, co-curated by Dave Court, is Backwoods’ inaugural interstate exhibition opening March 17th in South Australia at 53 Goodwood Road, Wayville. The exhibition features works by artists born or currently based in South Australia who work across various mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital, AI, video and light projection and performance.
Featuring: The Bait Fridge, Sarah Boese, Kurt Bosecke, Michael Carney, Gabriel Cole, Shane Mankitya Cook, Dave Court, Jasmine Crisp, Lucas Croall, James Dodd, Matthew Fortrose, Pia Gynell-Jorgensen, Benen Hamon, Seb Humphreys, Tristan Kerr, Hari Koutlakis, Vans the Omega, Loren Orsillo, Rosina Possingham, Henry Jock Walker & Emmaline Zanelli.
Southbound takes place on the traditional Country of the Kaurna people. Backwoods Gallery acknowledges that we are meeting on the traditional Country of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains and pays respect to Elders past and present.
