KYLE HUGHES-ODGERS
A NORMAL MAN DOES SERIOUS THINGS
31.01.20 ~ 16.02.20
Kyle Hughes-Odgers latest body of work, A normal man does serious things, is a continuation of the prolific Australian artists oeuvre in which he explores colour theory, spatial balance and visual movement. By contrasting the narratives of nature, the built environment and human behaviour, the works on display, which are a culmination of a 6-week residency in Iceland, are an abstract documentation of our existence.
Hughes-Odgers’ work captures on abstract mapping techniques and subconscious reactive painting – an approach that balances a certain formality with intuitive responses, resulting in colour fields that document narrative while retaining a playful composition.
Kyle Hughes-Odgers is an Australian Visual artist who works locally and globally on Murals, Gallery Exhibitions, 3D installations and Children’s Books.
